Volunteer.

Join us weekly on Tuesdays!

Individually

Tuesdays, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Every Tuesday night we answer requests (letters) from adults in custody. Volunteers will read requests, pull appropriate books from the shelves, and package them for mailing.

Individuals who want to volunteer with us can sign up through HandsOn Portland.

Each quarter we release new sign up dates. Spots fill up quickly, but don't forget join the waitlist!

With a Group

Scheduled upon request.

If you would like to set up a volunteer night with your organization, work team, school group, etc., we would love to accommodate a special session for you.

We ask for 2 months notice on when you would like to come in with your group.

Fill out our contact form below and we will respond to your request as soon as possible!

* To accomodate group volunteer nights, we kindly ask for a $100 deposit to meet demand for shipping and material costs.

We send out hundreds of packages every month. The average cost to send a package of books is between 5-6$ per package. We need your support for this vital work, providing people with education, entertainment, self-empowerment and connection.
